Five Abellio Greater Anglia employees have been nominated to receive an Abellio Achievement Award for their commitment and dedication that has had a positive impact on the business and its customers.

The Awards highlight the individuals and teams from across Abellio’s operating companies, comprising almost 13,000 employees, who deserve special recognition from the parent company.

Abellio Greater Anglia managers, Jackie Gibbs, Head of Service Quality Standards, Max Eaves, IT Project Manager, Eleni Jordan, Head of Sales, Keely Pagdin, Head of Customer Service - West, Dean Warner, Coasting Project Lead and the Single Tender Agreement (STA) Negotiation Team have all been singled out for praise.

Jackie Gibbs, Head of Service Quality Standards, is nominated for the ‘Bringing the Abellio Values to Life Award’ for leading the company’s successful Inspire training programme and launching a new element, new to the rail industry, ‘Inspire Sales’, as well as implementing the ‘Action Plan’ initiative, which, during times of service disruption, sees colleagues from across the business responding in a planned and effective manner to provide extra customer service support on platforms. The overall effect of Jackie’s commitment to improving the customers experience contributed to a 4% increase in customer satisfaction in the Spring 2014 National Passenger Survey results.

Max Eaves, IT Project Manager, is nominated for the ‘Abellio Employee of the Year Award’ for his proactive, enthusiastic attitude, complete dedication to his job and always volunteering to help other areas of the business, even giving up a weekend to provide passenger assistance on the platforms at Chelmsford station during the V Festival.

Eleni Jordan, Head of Sales, is nominated for the ‘Abellio Way – Areas of Excellence Award’ for building a new strategy for the Stansted Express rail service which has seen 12% growth as a result.

Keely Pagdin, Head of Customer Service – West, has been nominated by her colleagues for the ‘Abellio Leader of the Year Award’ for tirelessly leading, engaging and supporting her entire team of 21 managers and 380 staff in delivering the standards of service expected by customers.

Dean Warner, Coasting Project Lead, is nominated for the ‘Abellio Innovator of the Year Award’ for developing a solution to minimise the disruption to customers during essential overhead line renewals being carried out by Network Rail in the Metro area. Traditionally these works required all four lines to be closed, but in partnership with teams from across Abellio Greater Anglia and Network Rail, Dean found a solution that meant only two lines were closed and trains could still run, minimising the impact on services.

The winners will be announced at an Awards ceremony on 12th March.

Jamie Burles, Managing Director at Abellio Greater Anglia, said, “We know that we have colleagues all over the network making a difference every day and I would like to congratulate our five managers on their nomination and thank them for all their hard work. Recognising individuals and teams at a group level through the Abellio Achievement Awards, will help to further drive a culture of excellence in everything we do and demonstrates the dedication and commitment of all our staff to provide excellent service and performance to our customers.”
