Commuters in Norfolk and Suffolk are set to benefit from a discount scheme as Abellio Greater Anglia rolls out Gold Card season ticket benefits to season ticket holders across the network.

From 2 January, all stations north of Manningtree (including Ipswich, Diss, Norwich, Cromer, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft) will be included in the Gold Card discount scheme. It will mean that season ticket holders north of Manningtree will be able to enjoy:

  • A third off Standard and First Class tickets for Gold Card holders and up to three adults
  • 60% off child fares for up to four children travelling with the Gold Card holder
  • Discounted journeys that can now start earlier from 0930 Monday to Friday (and any time at weekends)

And from next year, all qualifying Annual Season ticket holders will also be entitled to a national Railcard of their choice for just £10. They can use the Railcard themselves or choose to give it to a friend or family member to enjoy a third off most rail journeys across Britain for a whole year.

Gold Card holders will also still be eligible for a third off Oyster pay as you go Off-Peak fares and the Off-Peak daily cap in the London area for journeys on National Rail, Tube and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

Existing Annual Season ticket holders who will qualify for an Annual Gold Card from 2 January 2015 can request a free replacement to change their Annual Season ticket to an Annual Gold Card.

Andrew Camp, Abellio Greater Anglia’s Commercial Director said: “I am pleased that we have been able to expand the Gold Card across our network, offering additional benefits to our valued season ticket holders.”
