Abellio Greater Anglia has announced that its Cambridge – Stansted train services will call additionally at Whittlesford Parkway from Monday 18 May 2015.

The extra trains will depart from Whittlesford Parkway at: 09.38, 10.34, 11.34, 12.34, 13.34, 14.34, 15.34 and 21.34, with return services from Stansted Airport at: 10.26, 11.26, 12.26, 13.26, 14.26, 15.26 and 16.26 on Mondays to Fridays.

Abellio Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Manager, Flavio Lopes, said: “The introduction of new, direct train services to the Airport will be a welcome boost for passengers who can take advantage of Whittlesford Parkway’s large car park and a short journey time to the airport of under 30 minutes, opening up 160 international destinations worldwide.”

The new services for Whittlesford Parkway follow the introduction of additional services between Cambridge and Stansted Airport in July 2014.

Abellio Greater Anglia introduced eight new services in each direction working in partnership with Cross Country and London Stansted Airport to increase choice and convenience for business and leisure travellers using Stansted Airport.

The additional services between Cambridge and Stansted Airport provide an improved half-hourly off-peak frequency on the busy Cambridge to Stansted Airport rail corridor, and were part of the new Direct Award franchise agreed between Abellio Greater Anglia and the Department for Transport.
