Cromer and Sheringham
The pretty seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham are situated on the beautiful North Norfolk coast, just a few miles from one another.
With gorgeous stretches of soft sandy beach, little streets filled with interesting shops and plenty of places to enjoy the excellent food including the famous Cromer crab, both are excellent for day visits, weekend breaks or family holidays.
Go hunting for sea creatures in rock pools at Sheringham or let the children loose at the indoor tropical swimming pool. Alternatively, visit Sheringham Park's mature woodlands for great coastal views.
Not far from Cromer is Felbrigg Hall, one of the finest 17th-century country houses in East Anglia owned by the National Trust.
Holkham is noted for one of Britain's best sandy beaches - huge, private, with dunes backed by pine trees. East and West Runton has quiet sand/shingle beaches backed by low crumbling cliffs (rich in fossils). Mundesley is a clifftop village harking back to a bygone age, with its sandy beach and colourful wooden beach huts. Whilst Sea Palling is a dune-backed stretch of white sand protected by man-made reefs.
