Our new digital season tickets can save you precious time on your commute. Now, you can access more tickets in the Greater Anglia app for faster frictionless travel.

How to buy or renew an S-ticket?

  1. It’s easy. Buy a valid season ticket on our app*.
  2. Choose ‘Mobile barcode in-app option’ as your delivery method.
  3. There’s no need to carry a separate photocard with your Season ticket, you’ll be asked to take a photo of your likeness during the buying process to be added to your s-ticket.
  4. Wait a few minutes after purchase for it to appear in My Tickets.

*S-tickets are available for adult Weekly Season tickets between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. With more stations on our network and longer Season tickets coming in 2023.

How to use your S-ticket

S-tickets last for 3 hours and need to be activated using an internet connection before your first trip of the day. Go to My Tickets, click on your ticket and tap ‘View Season ticket’ to activate/refresh your barcode s-ticket.

When you travel, you can scan the barcode at the ticket gates to get through and show it to staff when they check your ticket.

When you go digital, you won't be required to carry separate photo ID like you normally would with a paper Season ticket. This is easy to set up on our app, as you'll be asked to capture an image of yourself for your s-ticket during the booking process.

Yes, you’ll need internet connection to download your digital season ticket before you travel, and to refresh the barcode if you want to use it after every 3 hours. Our trains have free Wi-Fi and plug points to charge your device.

When a download is done, a backup barcode is stored in case you’re experiencing a poor connection. This can be used for one single journey on a given day but after that you’ll need to establish a connection to download a new barcode.

S-tickets are available on our app and will work on:

  • iOS 14.0 or newer
  • Android 5.0 or newer

If you don’t have you access to your s-ticket and you notice before travelling, you should buy another ticket before starting your journey. You can usually claim a full refund up to two times a year but an admin fee may charged. Find out more about penalty fares for Season ticket holders.

S-tickets are accessible from any GA app that you’re logged into but can only be used on one device at a time.

Yes, you can claim compensation if your train is delayed by 15 minutes or more through Delay Repay.
